MATTOON, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV)— Lake Land College is starting a new format to allow people to get their HVAC-R courses done easier than ever.
The new format means that students that attend Lake Land College can apply for their Heating, Venting, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration(HVAC-R) courses at nearly any time. The courses under the new format will now begin on a three to four-week basis instead of having to wait until the next semester. They hope this change will remove obstacles for students with busier schedules.
“HVAC technicians possess a crucial skillset that homeowners and businesses throughout our community rely on,” HVAC Instructor Joe Hoenes said. “The new program format will maximize flexibility and remove barriers for students interested in earning this high-demand credential.”
These courses cover installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of residential and light commercial equipment, preparing students for entry-level work. For more information you can visit the college’s website or contact Hoenes at 217-234-5372 or email at jhoenes2@lakelandcollege.edu.
