TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— A car accident occurred Friday around 3:00 p.m. in front of Top Guns.
The following is a statement from the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office::
On 03/28/2025 at approximately 3:13pm, the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office responded to a motor vehicle crash with entrapment at the intersection of South US Hwy 41 and Old Royse Road.
The driver of a passenger car on Old Royse Road attempted to cross the southbound lanes of US Hwy 41 to turn north and was struck in the driver’s door by an SUV. The passenger car continued southbound in the grassy median before coming to rest.
The driver of the passenger car was extricated by the Honey Creek Fire Department along with Terre Haute Fire personnel. The driver was then transported to an Indianapolis hospital by Lifeline for medical treatment.
The SUV driver was transported by Trans Care Ambulance to a local hospital for non life threatening injuries.
The investigation is ongoing.
