CHICAGO (WGN) — Check your can of Coca-Cola before you take that sip.
The Food and Drug Administration issued a recall of 10,000 cans of the carbonated beverage because they could be contaminated with plastic.
The 864 12-packs recalled were sold in Illinois and Wisconsin.
The affected cans carry a UPC of 0 49000-00634 6 and 0 49000-02890 4 and a date code of SEP2925MDA.
The FDA classifies the recall as a Class II, which it defines as “a situation in which use of or exposure to a violative product may cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote.”
There have been no reports of injuries.
