UPDATE: A 22-year-old man out of Terre Haute has been arrested after the shooting that occurred Thursday night. According to a post on the Vigo County Sheriff’s Office Facebook Page, After further investigation Kyle Peretti of Terre Haute was arrested around 12:30 p.m. Friday without incident.
He is currently in Vigo County Jail and is being charged with murder, attempted murder, and assisting a criminal. The names of the two victims have also been released. The deceased male victim is identified as 46-year-old Mark Gayer of Terre Haute. The female victim was identified as 33-year-old Meagan Anderson. Anderson is still currently in the hospital.

An 18-year-old has been arrested and charged with murder and attempted murder in connection to the shooting investigation overnight in the 5200 block of N. 13th 1/2 Street in northern Vigo County.
According to The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office (VCSO), on Thursday night at approximately 10:15 p.m. deputies responded to the location on reports of a gunshot wound.
When deputies arrived, they located a male and female who both had gunshot wounds. Medical personnel arrived and immediately began assessing the victims.
The male victim was pronounced dead on the scene and the female victim was transported to an Indianapolis area hospital.
During the investigation, deputies discovered that a suspected shooter had allegedly fled the scene prior to their arrival, said VCSO.
VCSO said deputies were then able to find a possible location nearby where the suspect was believed to be. The Terre Haute Police Department’s SWAT Team also assisted on the scene.
After a brief standoff, two male subjects exited the home without incident.
THPD said Joshua Torpy, 18, of Terre Haute, has been arrested and charged with murder and attempted murder.

VIGO COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed a shooting occurred overnight in the 5200 block of N. 13th 1/2 Street in northern Vigo County.
In a statement, officials said, “There is no further threat known to the community at this time.”
