PARIS, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — Horizon Health has announced it will be offering a class that teaches boys and girls aged 11-13 home-alone safety skills.
Safe Sitter is a nationally recognized class that teaches children home-alone safety skills when caring for themselves, younger siblings or while babysitting, according to a press release.
Horizon Health said the class will provide them with tips on safety and security precautions, facts about child development and the business aspect of babysitting.
The class will be held on Tuesday, April 15 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Horizon Health Education Center in Paris.
The cost of the class will be $50, and that will cover materials and lunch. No parent is required to be present during the class. Registration is due by Thursday, April 10, at 5 p.m.
