TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Terre Haute Mayor’s Youth Council is nearly to its 35-thousand-dollar fundraising goal for Coy Park.
If they hit this goal, the IHCDA will match an additional 35 thousand dollars. There are many ways to contribute to this such as ordering the youth council drink at any Little Bear location in Terre Haute.
Mayor Brandon Sakbun said he is confident that this goal can be accomplished.
“The students stepped up, the business community is rallying, a number of individual donors are rallying, so let’s close this gap,” said Sakbun. “We’ve got $22,000 in the bank with another $8,000 in soft commits, so there is a little bit of room to go. The shot clock is on, so let’s finish the job.”
