Observed many raw meats stored above ready-to-eat foods. Observed accumulated food debris on utensils from the day prior, with intent to use without properly cleaning and sanitizing. Observed live and dead cockroaches throughout kitchen. Observed fried rice from day prior left in rice cooker over night at room temperature. Observed soup being reheated on steam table not reaching proper reheating temperature. Observed multiple pork loins cooked the day prior resting on prep surface at 101F. Proper cooling methods were not followed.
Grand Traverse Pie Company, 75 N. 3rd St. (4 Critical, 4 Non-Critical) Observed blender resting in hand wash sink. Observed employee phone resting on cutting board currently being used to prep food. Observed accumulated debris on soda nozzle and in storage containers holding clean utensils. Found establishment not following proper reheating methods.
La Isla Mexican Restaurant, 1480 Ft. Harrison (3 Critical, 3 Non-Critical) Observed refried beans not being cooled within proper time limits. Observed ready to eat items in walk-in cooler and flans in reach-in cooler without date markings. Found salsa being held at a temperature of 52F. Shall be 41F or less.
Bush Family Restaurant, 932 Locust St. (3 Critical, 2 Non-Critical) Observed ware washing machine not reaching proper level of sanitizer concentration to properly disinfect. Observed raw pork stored above coleslaw and lettuce. Observed employee medicine stored with store goods in walk-in cooler. Found employee drink without lid. Found employee phones above prep area on cook line.
Tastyz Stop N Shop #2, 2601 S. 3rd St. (2 Critical, 2 Non-Critical) Observed bucket in hand wash sink. Observed cups and lids on floor in back storage room.
Arby’s #7802, 2155 Lafayette Ave. (2 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) Observed dark accumulated debris on soda nozzles in the drive-thru and lobby area. Observed handwashing sink blocked by stepladder.
Maruti Gas Station – Pimento BP, 13200 S. US Hwy 41 (2 Critical, 0 Non-Critical) Found in house made ready to eat sandwiches held more than 7 days. Observed hand wash sink blocked by prep table. Observed hand wash sink in the back of house area not working.
Mis Tres Potrillos, 1290 Lafayette Ave. (1 Critical, 0 Non-Critical) Found ware washing machine not dispensing proper levels of sanitizer to disinfect dishes in bar area.
