BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— A sport has been growing recently here in the valley, with the help of a local club.
Crossroads Disc Golf Club is a nonprofit community organization dedicated to helping the sport grow locally. They have partnered with several parks departments around the valley, to run tournaments and leagues throughout the year. The funds raised during the events go towards local food groups. In the past two years, the club has raised over $7,000.
“If you’re new to the sport or if you’re looking for something to do like a little hobby, come out,” said PR Marketing Board Member Nathan Biggs. “You know we’re welcoming to everybody, we love seeing new faces. We love seeing the progress and the growth. We love to have as many people. You know if we could have 1,000 people out here playing that would be you know, ideal.”
