FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— 32 Indiana counties have been placed under a wind advisory until Wednesday night when we could face severe weather.
The reasoning for the wind advisory comes from a news release from Vigo County 911 which says we can expect southern winds coming 20 to 30 miles per hour with gusts getting up to 45. The advisory is listed for portions of central, south-central, southeast, southwest, and west-central Indiana. The advisory started Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. and will last through 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
The advisory is listed at a moderate severity and gusty winds could blow off unsecured objects. The advisory also states to watch for tree limbs that could also cause power outages.
