BICKNELL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Update: According to the Mayor of the City of Bicknell Thomas Estabrook, on Friday evening the Bicknell Fire Department responded to a fully engulfed house fire.
According to Estabrooks one occupant of the home was able to escape.
Estabrooks said high winds aggravated the suppression efforts and that the home is considered a total loss.
The Bicknell Fire Department was assisted by the Vigo Township Fire Department, the Knox County Sheriff’s Department, and Good Samaritan Hospital EMS.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Indiana State Fire Marshall.
