TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Indiana American Water donated $10,000 to the Mayor`s Youth Council fundraiser.
The donation will go towards the Coy Park Crowdfunding Initiative. This is a project aimed at building an accessible playground in Coy Park. Those renovations include a “sensory dome” accessible playground structure, a see-saw, swings, and more. Tanner St. Juliana is a senior at Terre Haute South High School, and he says being a part of the council is a great way to get connected with the community.
“Being a member of the Mayor’s Youth Council really put me in the shoes of what a real lawmaker would have to do,” said St. Juliana. “The steps they would have to go to bring renovation, to bring change, and all of those types of things.”
