TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Job seekers can learn about employment opportunities in the region with an event later this week at the Terre Haute Convention Center.
A regional employment and opportunity expo will take place Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be over 60 employers from a wide variety of industries. Attendees will be able to talk directly with the employers on-site.
The event will also offer professional development workshops and free headshots. There will also be resume reviews, job fair prep and interview tips, information on the Grow Up In West Central Indiana childcare plan, door prizes and giveaways.
Attendees should bring several copies of their resume and be prepared to meet potential employers.
“We’ve got manufacturing, so places like Novelis. Union Health will be there and a lot of other community organizations and employers that are looking for employees,” said Western Indiana Workforce Development Board Executive Director Greg Lee.
The event is being hosted by the Terre Haute Chamber, West Central Indiana Partnership and Workone Western Indiana. With support from the of Terre Haute and Accelerate West Central Indiana Economic Development.
