CAYUGA, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— The Boys IHSAA Basketball Sectional had to be postponed Wednesday night after the first game.
According to a news release from the Athletic Directors at North Vermillion High School, A mass power outage has interrupted the IHSSA Boys Basketball Sectional at the school after the first game’s conclusion. The game between Riverton Park and Attica has been rescheduled for 6:30 p.m. on March 5 once again at North Vermillion High School. The news release states that digital tickets that were bought through Eventlink will be reset by the IHSSA and will be valid for the game tomorrow. Paper tickets that were purchased will be taken at tomorrow’s game as well.
Game One did feature the win of Central Catholic over Fountain Central with a score of 45 to 27. The news release stated that after the game concluded, a power outage took place that Duke Energy estimated would be fixed by 11:15 p.m., and due to that, both teams’ athletic directors decided to postpone.
