PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Saturday morning, hundreds gathered at the Parke County 4H fairgrounds for the annual Maple Fair.
This is a tradition that dates back many decades where families can come and enjoy a fresh made breakfast, local artist and pottery booths, and many different types of maple treats.
Parke County resident and Maple Fair volunteer, Doug Weisheit said this is one of the many local festivals that help out the economy in Parke County.
“As an agricultural community here in Parke County, tourism is the queen of our economy,” said Weisheit. “Obviously, a lot of folks will do well financially because of this Parke County maple syrup festival.”
This festival will also be open next weekend March 1-2, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
