TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Members of the Theatre Club at Honey Creek Middle School prepare for their big performance Saturday.
Fifty students are participating in shortened version of Alice in Wonderland. They’ve been preparing for months and a final dress rehearsal took place Friday.
The school had not had a theater club for several years, but according to teacher Tiffany Woodward, 8th grade students wanted to bring it back.
“They have worked so hard. We have kids that have 117 plus lines and they’ve worked incredibly hard to remember every single one of those lines. They’ve come to us with creative ideas, way to jazz up their parts and it’s just incredible to watch them bloom on stage,” said Honey Creek Middle School teacher Tiffany Woodward.
“It’s super exciting to finally be putting on the show in front of a real audience,” said student Stuart Breiding.
The show is Saturday at 6 p.m. at Honey Creek Middle School. Tickets are being sold at the door, but they’re almost sold out.
