CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— UPDATE: Officials are waiting on autopsy results before releasing more information on the man who was pulled from icy waters in Clay County, on Monday.
According to Indiana Conservation Officer Tincher, he is waiting to hear from the Clay County Coroner’s office for identification of the victim and notification of family.
The man’s body was recovered from a private small lake just off East Private Road 425 North in Clay County.
“A call was received by Clay County Dispatch for a welfare check. They had not heard from him for a couple of days,” said Officer Tincher.
Tincher said, “when first responders arrived, they located his body in the water.”
Indiana State Police divers were able to recover the body from the water.

A man has died after he was pulled from icy water in Clay County.
It happened Monday afternoon on East Private Road 425 North. According to Indiana Conservation Officer Luke Tincher, divers went to the scene and recovered the man’s body.
His name has not yet been released. Tincher said multiple agencies responded to the scene. We will update you as more information becomes available
