PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Parke County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a Terre Haute man who was able to flee deputies on foot after being handcuffed.
According to a Facebook post from the sheriff’s office, deputies stopped a vehicle in Lyford, where Jonathan Curtis Lee Olson, 22, was a passenger.
Parke County Sheriff Jason Frazier said Olson was handcuffed behind his back and fled while a deputy was dealing with other passengers inside the vehicle.
Sheriff Fraizer also believes Olson shed his jeans and shoes after fleeing and was last seen around U.S. 41 and Head Road.
The sheriff’s office said Olson is wanted on a level two Vigo County Warrant for burglary with serious bodily injury.
Olson is listed as 5 feet and 9 inches tall, 200 pounds, with black hair and hazel eyes.
