TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College (SMWC) will hold C.A.M.P. at The Woods for its third consecutive year. A program that will allow high school students to earn college credits and possibly study abroad.
C.A.M.P stands for Challenging Ambitions and Maximizing Potential and is made possible by a grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc. through its Indiana Youth Programs on Campus initiative.
C.A.M.P at The Woods is a one-week daily campus program from June 9 – 13, 2025, for high school freshmen, sophomores, juniors and seniors.
For students admitted into the program, there will be four different course options. Each program can have up to 10 students and students who complete their C.A.M.P. courses will earn two college credits.
Also in the fall, students will have an opportunity to study abroad through SMCW’s Go Global classes.
Here are all the course options available:
- Go Global – GL 150: Leaders of Positive Change students will be traveling abroad to the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador
- Go Global – EQ 150: Introduction to Equine Industry students will be traveling to Ireland
- Go Global – NU 150: Nurses for the Future students will be traveling to London, England
- ED 150: STEM Applications in the Elementary Classroom
Applications are due by March 14, 2025, and SMWC will be hosting “Into C.A.M.P at The Woods,” an informational session on February 27, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Woods Student Center.
