LINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The future of the pool in Linton is now in question.
The pool was built in 1965 and is in major need of multiple upgrades. Mayor John Preble said the amount of money they need to replace just the liners for both the main and kid pools would be at least $224,000 not counting other repair costs.
He said the pool is important to the city.
“As far as the community goes, it is a huge asset,” said Preble. “I realize that, and I know that if it was not there, it would be terribly missed.”
There will be a public meeting about the future of this pool on February 11 at the Roy Clark Community Building at 6:30 p.m.
