SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Purdue Extension Sullivan Co. is bringing back its A Matter of Balance class.
This class is for people who have concerns about falling and teaches them how to stay balanced with exercises, and ways to reduce fall risks in your everyday life. It is a 2-hour long class that meets once a week for 8 weeks.
One of its Health Educators Cheryl Casselman said this class is usually a big hit and this information could help a participant through their entire life.
“They talk about how they are going to miss it,” said Casselman. “They also really enjoy the socializing, and the information is quality information that will take them on for a lifetime, so it is valuable class.”
The first class will be held on February 13 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at the Sullivan County Fairgrounds. This same class is also being held at Meadows Learning Lab in Terre Haute on the same day from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
