TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The annual Point in Time Count is being held Wednesday, January 29.
The Point in Time Count is a headcount of all sheltered and unsheltered individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
On Wednesday, Pathways Day Center will be opening all of its doors to the public to assist the Homeless Council of the Wabash Valley with the count. Grace Mobile will also be on-site from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for medical screenings. There will also be food packets, clothes and blankets available.
The data collected from the Point in Time Count is used to create an action plan to help reduce homelessness within the community.
