CLAY CITY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — White Pine Manor’s signature bridal show is coming up Saturday, but this year they’re doing something special.
The bridal event has been taking place, every winter, for three years now.
Soon-to-be brides can meet various wedding professionals from photographers to caters to DJs at no cost to either the businesses or visitors.
This year, owner JoAnn Wilkerson asked participating businesses to all pitch in and donate the money to a warming center in Brazil.
$1,500 was raised to pay for a deposit for electricity.
Wilkerson says these businesses were happy to help their community.
“I just sent an email and said we have this need; it’s going to be cold”, Wilkerson said. “Would you guys be willing to donate and they were right on it. I immediately got responses. Everybody that I phoned, a lot of them I know personally so I called them, everybody immediately said yes, I’m in.”
This year’s 2025 bridal show is Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
White Pine Manor says they had a great number of people that registered and are looking forward to a successful day.
