TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Bundles of Hope Baby Supply Drive was started by Terre Haute Mayor Brandon Sakbun and his wife Paiton, Wabash Valley Youth for Christ, and Camp Navigate who wanted to give back to families in need of these supplies.
The drive is accepting donations of baby formula, diapers, wipes, and unused socks, clothes, and blankets. Wabash Valley Youth for Christ executive director Tim Ramseier believes that the partnership between he and his wife has allowed this drive to grow to the over 25 locations it is now in.
“In a sense, we get a lot of chances to come up with ideas and run them past each other and as a result this has broadened into a wider response than we had expected,” said Ramseier.
Executive direcotor of Camp Navigate Eleanor Ramseier emphasized that this is the perfect time of year to do something like this for the families in need in the community.
“It is just so important, especially this time of year, because many people are getting done with Christmas as they probably spent a little extra money on that, and they just need these supplies for their babies and toddlers in town,” said Ramseier.
The distribution of these supplies will be at Terre Haute City Hall on February 15th at 10 a.m. A list of all of the donation locations can be found here.
