PARIS, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — According to a press release, Horizon Health will be offering a Heartsaver CPR/AED course free of charge on February 4.
This class is for the community only and teaches students basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). These both can be used in life-threatening cardiac events.
Even though the class is free, a credit or debit card is required when registering. The card will be charged $25 to reserve a seat in the class but will be refunded after completion of the class.
Students will also have the option to receive an official CPR/AED certification card from the American Heart Association for $25.
The class will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Horizon Health’s Education Center. To register for the class, you can visit their website.
