TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Club Soda is a recovery center that provides a sober living environment, three meals a day, and transportation to and from jobs.
However, they are in need of more than $30,000 for building and vehicle repairs.
“We still need the help to get out of this hump, get on our feet, once when we are on our feet, we will be able to stay there,” said program director, Kevin Ball.
Ball said he is thankful for the money and labor already donated, but says the non-profit is still fighting an upward battle.
“We have reached out in the form of filing for grants,” said Ball. “We really need someone that is a professional grant writer that knows what they are doing instead of us guessing at it and hoping for the best.”
Ball said he hopes the community will continue to be generous and give to a place that’s currently helping around 80 people out but has helped many others in the past.
“If you feel it in your heart, I am sure that you know somebody that is in recovery or has had an addiction problem,” said Ball. “We are here to help them, so we are asking for your help now.”
Ball says they plan to have an event to sell multiple high dollar items like a motorcycle and RV to raise money as soon as the weather gets warm enough for them to host it.
