TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Update: An investigation continues into an overnight fire in Terre Haute that officials call ‘suspicious.’
Around 2:45 a.m. Friday the Terre Haute Fire Department (THFD) responded to a structure fire in the 1400 block of Plum. Upon arrival, fire crews reported heavy flames.
According to THFD Captain Nick Arnold, the home was unoccupied and had no utilities at the time of the fire.
Arnold states that a nearby residence received minimal damage due to exposure to the fire but the residents will be able to stay in the home.
No injuries were reported.
Arnold states that the fire is suspicious and the investigation continues.
