TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Two suspects were taken into custody Wednesday night after allegedly entering someone else’s home and hiding from police.
According to the Terre Haute Police Department (THPD) around 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, officers were called to the 1400 block of Spruce St. on the report that two known individuals entered a residence and threatened a victim with a knife.
According to a media release, officers arrived on the scene, confirmed the suspects’ identities, and then quickly located their vehicle in the 100 block of N. 22nd St. The release states that the address was associated with one of the suspects.
According to THPD, a search of a nearby apartment led to the discovery of the two suspects hiding. One was found in a closet and the other under a pile of clothes. Both were taken into custody without incident.
58-year-old, Graylon D. Bell, of Terre Haute, was arrested on charges of Residential Entry, Intimidation, and an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon.
49-year-old, Taiwan D. Richards, of Terre Haute, was arrested and faces charges of Residential Entry and an outstanding warrant for False Informing.
Both suspects were transported to the Vigo County Security Center and are scheduled to appear in Vigo County Court on Thursday.
