TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Do you know a kid who can sing?
Good news, the Terre Haute Children’s Choir is looking for the best voices in the city, as they are holding open auditions.
These auditions will be for spots in the choir for the upcoming school semester.
They will take place on Wednesday, January 15th, at Indiana State, in the Performing and Fine Arts Building, room 150.
That hall is located at the corner of Seventh and Chestnut.
If you are wanting to audition, you do not need to register in advance. It will be first come, first serve, from 4:30 p.m. 6:30 p.m. for ages 7 to 17.
The Artistic Director or the choir, Gayle McCullough, says the auditions are mostly for placement, except this year, they are doing something different for the first time.
“With our newer, older group, for the first year in the history of the choir, we are accepting young men with lower changing voices”, McCullough said. “All singers with lower changing voices. For that group, the audition is required, and we are a little more selective.”
Again, the auditions are only one day, Wednesday, January 15th.
