FARMERSBURG, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Many county offices across the Wabash Valley were closed on Monday due to the winter storm.
Here’s a list of when you can expect your local county offices to reopen. This list is not exhaustive and is subject to change. We’ll update this story as more information is reported. We recommend contacting your local office to confirm.
Clay County – According to Clay County Emergency Management Director, Rob Gambill, government offices reopened Tuesday for normal business hours. The County remains under a travel ‘watch.’
Greene County – The Greene County Courthouse remained open on a case-by-case basis. According to the Greene County Clerk’s Office, they reopened Tuesday.
Knox County – According to Knox County Commissioner Kellie Streeter, County Government offices will be open on Tuesday for normal hours. The county is under a travel ‘watch.’
Parke County – According to Christopher O’Brien, Parke County EMA Director, the Parke County Courthouse will reopen on Tuesday, January 7th at 10:00 am. The county remains under a travel ‘watch.’
Sullivan County – According to Emergency Management Director, Jim Pirtle county government office will remain closed on Tuesday, January 7. The county is under a travel ‘watch.’
Vigo County – According to Vigo County Commissioner Chris Switzer, the County Government will resume normal business hours on Tuesday. The county is under a ‘travel advisory.’
