BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Members of the Clay County Health Department have started the Healthy Clay County 2025 Challenge in an effort to help the community get healthier this year.
The challenge will be a 10-week program beginning on January 20 designed to help with diet, mental health, exercise, and financial health with advice from experts. This program was created by the Clay County Health Department, Brazil Public Library, Clay County YMCA, and the Clay County Purdue Expansion. They hope this will help the community live healthier by giving residents access to both local experts as well as community resources.
Prizes will also be given out to those who participate the most, reduce their overall body mass index (BMI), and provide the best support for others in their cohort. Prizes include a Clay County YMCA membership, a self-care package, a free personal training session, an Indiana State Parks pass, a cooking kit, and more. Winners will be announced on March 31 after the program concludes. For those who want to participate you can call the Clay County Health Department at 812-448-9021 or by scanning the QR code below to fill out the online registration.
