TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — New Years Eve is a time for fun and celebration as we head into the new year, but getting behind the wheel impaired is recipe for a bad start to your 2025. Instead, ring in the new year responsibly by taking advantage of free and/or discounted rides.
If you choose to ride in an Uber or Lyft on New Years Eve, Sober Ride Indiana is offering vouchers for a discounted ride. The voucher can be claimed here.
The law firm of Stewart & Stewart is also offering Hoosiers a sober rideshare discount. All you need to do is fill out this form on their website and the law firm said they will cover the first $20 off an Uber or Lyft ride.
“Reimbursements will be provided for those who use the ridesharing service to go home—not to another drinking location,” the law firm said.
Stewart & Stewart’s Safe and Sober Program goes into effect at 7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and continues until 3 a.m. on Jan. 1.
