TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Three special celebrities made an appearance at a local roller-skating event center Saturday.
Santa, Elf on the Shelf, and the Grinch stopped by to skate, dance, and hangout with families before the Christmas holiday.
All kids were granted free admission into the skate center as a part of Wigwam’s “Our gift to you” event.
This event has taken place the last few years, giving kids the opportunity to enjoy roller skating and hangout with some special holidays guests at no charge.
In preparation for today, president of the skate center, Robert Kramer, said he reached out to the schools in the Terre Haute area to reach as many kids as possible.
“I like anything that we are doing that is community involved”, Kramer said. “We dropped off tickets to all the schools. We like to be involved in the community, so we dropped off tickets, so the kids can use their tickets to come and skate for free.”
Mark your calendars for next week as well, as Wigwam Skate Event Center will be hosting their annual countdown party on New Years Eve.
The kids’ event will be earlier in the day and then the adult event will be from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
