VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— A news release from the town of Vincennes has confirmed that trash will be picked up on an adjusted schedule to accommodate the winter holidays.
The news release from Mayor Joe Yochum’s office, states that you should expect a slight pushback on when to set out your trash. The city of Vincennes government offices will be closed both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day as well as New Year’s Eve and day.
Because of these holiday closures, the trash service will be changed. Expect trash pick-ups on the 24th and 25th to instead be picked up the following day on the 26th and any pick-ups normally scheduled on the 26th to be picked up on the 27th. Similarly, trash pick-ups scheduled for the 31st and 1st are going to be moved instead to the 2nd, and any scheduled for the 2nd will now be on the 3rd. The recycling schedule however will remain the same despite the holidays.
