TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Vigo County Deputies and members of the West Terre Haute Police Department responded to reports of a stabbing Tuesday night.
According to a Facebook Post by the Vigo County Sheriff’s Department, officers were dispatched to 5665 West Illiana Drive around 9:40 p.m. for the reported stabbing. Deputies were told that two men were inside an apartment when an argument started.
According to the post, one suspect had left after the argument only to return later without the approval of the other occupant. The post then states the suspect then threatened the victim with a knife causing a struggle to ensue. In the midst of the struggle, the suspect was injured by the knife cutting his neck.
The suspect, 46-year-old Michael Lowe of West Terre Haute, was treated at the scene by EMS and taken to Union Hospital before ultimately ending up at the Vigo County Jail. He was given two felony charges of residential entry and intimidation with a deadly weapon.
