TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— On December 15, Hospice of the Wabash Valley will host its first annual Luminaries of Love event.
It is going to be from 6-8 p.m. at the Hospice of the Wabash Valley gazebo at Deming Park.
Those in attendance will be able to walk or drive through a display of personalized lighted luminaries representing the lives of lost loved ones.
All proceeds raised will go toward its bereavement team who help and support anyone who suffers a loss. Its bereavement coordinator Kristie Allen explained how difficult these situations can be around the holidays.
“There’s people hurting, people who need to know that their loved ones are not forgotten, and that they are still building the legacy that their loved ones left,” said Allen.
Those interested in purchasing a luminaire can find a way to do so here.
