TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— On Tuesday evening, the Lieutenant Governor posted on her X account confirming the resignation of the former mayor.
Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch confirmed that Duke Bennett has stepped down from his position with her. Duke Bennett was previously serving as the Executive Director of the Office of Community and Rural Affairs.
In the post, the Lieutenant Governor stated, “Today, I accepted the resignation of Duke Bennett, the executive director of the Office of Community and Rural Affairs. Duke stepped into this role in the last year of my administration, and I am grateful he shared his collaborative spirit with all Hoosiers. Duke will be pursuing new opportunities, and I wish him well. His last day will be Jan. 10, 2025.”
