ROCKVILLE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Are you looking for a place to watch Christmas movies on the big screen? Well, a local theater will be showing them for free!
Tuesday evening, The Ritz Theater in Rockville started its Christmas Film Festival with the movie Elf. The film festival will continue on December 19, with a Christmas favorite, Christmas Vacation and conclude on December 23, with Polar Express.
All showings start at 7 p.m. with doors opening an hour prior, except for The Polar Express. On that date doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for free hot cocoa and pictures with Santa.
“We try to recreate the experience a little bit of the Polar Express. So, people come in and they can wear their pajamas if they want to and we give them a golden ticket. They get hot chocolate. Santa Claus is going to be down by the stage. It’s a good time,” General Manager Ingrid Rodriguez said.
