DUGGER, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — UPDATE: As of 10:25 a.m., the Duke Energy outage map shows power has been restored to customers in the Dugger area.
UPDATE: As of 9:40 a.m., Duke Energy reports a little more than 200 outages in the Dugger area. That’s down from 1,000 outages less than an hour ago.
Original Story: Schools in Dugger are dismissing early Monday due to a widespread power outage.
In a statement on Facebook, the school corporation said, “ATTENTION PARENTS- students will be dismissed at 10am our power is out as the phones. We are sorry for the inconvenience. High school check Google classroom, elementary will bring home paperwork.”
At 9:15 a.m., Duke Energy’s outage map showed nearly 1,000 customers without power in that area. We do not yet know the cause of the outage.
