LINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – A local hospital is being recognized for its top performance in patient experience.
Greene County General Hospital received a 2024 Performance Leadership Award from the Chartis Center for Rural Health.
These awards are given to rural hospitals for top performance in several categories.
Greene County General Hospital’s award recognizes the hospital for Excellence in Patient Perspective. Hospital CEO Brenda Reetz said this reflects the hospital’s high scores for patient experience.
“It’s humbling, I think, for our staff to really know that our patients think that highly of us. It’s what we want. We always say that we want to treat every patient here the way that we want our most beloved to be treated and to see our patients come back and tell us that that’s what they’re feeling, it’s a great feeling. We’re glad to know that they’re seeing that because that’s our goal,” said Reetz.
Greene County General Hospital is one of just five hospitals in Indiana to receive this award in the Patient Perspective category.
