EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEHT) – Officials have confirmed a vehicle drove off the parking garage of Bally’s Casino in Evansville at around 8:30 a.m. and crashed into the building of a conference center nearby.
It is said the vehicle landed upside down in the Executive Conference Center on top of an escalator. We’re told a conference was taking place at the time.
Evansville Police confirm that charges are expected to be filed on the driver upon release from the hospital. Officials say charges include criminal recklessness and criminal mischief. The name and extent of injuries has not been announced at this time.

Crews report that the driver was able to remove themselves from the vehicle. The driver was transported to a local hospital with injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The casino remains open at this time.
Officials with Bally’s tell us, in the midst of the investigation, security footage of the incident will not be released to the public at this time.
Bally’s released the following statement in reference to the incident:
We are currently investigating an incident involving a vehicle that drove off the 7th floor of our parking garage and will provide updates as necessary. Upon initial review, the incident appears to be the result of driver error. There are no signage or structural issues with the parking garage. The safety of our guests and staff remains our top priority.
