SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — An annual Thanksgiving tradition in Sullivan is set to make its return.
Joe’s Italian Foods is now preparing for its free Thanksgiving dinner. Owner Nora Leone said this event usually feeds up to 800 people every year. It will be at held at the restaurant from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
Leone said she loves giving back to the community that has given so much to her.
“I’ve got the resources, strength, and time to be able to coordinate such a large event like this,” said Leone. “It would not be possible out of your home or even out of a church. To be able to put this together with all of the volunteers that make it happen is just a great feeling.”
Leone added that this is all made possible due to the donations of people within the community.
