TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Here are the food inspections for the last week in Terre Haute courtesy of the Vigo County Health Department.
Taj-Mahal, 1349 S. 3rd St. (5 Critical, 6 Non-Critical) Observed multiple employee beverages and food on food prep and food storage areas. Observed employee cutting raw meat on table with ready to eat food items. Found multiple ready to eat food items without date markings. Found accumulated debris on soda nozzles in service area. Observed standing water in basin of hand wash sink on cook line and in floor drain in dish area.
Ulloa’s Market Place, 1420 Lafayette Ave. (5 Critical, 4 Non-Critical) Observed employee eating at prep cooler on cook line. Observed multiple ready to eat food and sauce items without date of consumption. Observed back hand wash sink blocked by prep cooler. Hand wash sinks shall be accessible at all times. Observed front hand wash sink being used to thaw bags of sliced fruit. Observed whole raw fish in cooler at 54F and Tres Leches cake slices sitting out at room temperature. Both shall be held at 41F or below.
Petty Pit Stop, 900 Wabash Ave. (2 Critical, 2 Non-Critical) Observed employee drinks, food and phones throughout establishment and on prep surfaces. Found noodles, taco meat and caramelized onions held past date of consumption.
Umi Sushi, Inc., 2002 S. 3rd St. (2 Critical, 1 Non-Critical) Observed employee preparing cooked food that was ready to be served without gloves. Observed employee using no sanitizer after manually washing dishes.
