TERRE HAUTE Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Manna From Seven provides meals to hundreds around the Wabash Valley every week and they expect that number to be even higher now that the holiday season is upon us.
Manna From Seven and students from Marshall High School handed out Thanksgiving essentials Friday morning. Its CEO Susan Seitz said that every family deserves to have food on their table for Thanksgiving.
“It is like a feast day, and when your cupboards are bare and your refrigerator is bare, we want to be able to put something in there and put something on their table,” said Seitz.
She said seeing these families light up knowing that they will have a good holiday is what keeps her motivated.
“Seeing the smiles and gratitude on the faces of the people we are trying to help is definitely my favorite part,” said Seitz.
Manna From Seven will also be hosting a free market the Friday morning after Thanksgiving that will include everything that is provided at local drug and convenient stores.
