CLINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Thanksgiving is right around the corner and putting that meal on your table this year will cost you a bit more.
E xperts say it will cost, on average, $126 to feed a family of 10 this year. With costs high, many families just can’t afford it.
That’s why a local group is hosting a Thanksgiving giveaway. It will be this Saturday, November 23, at Victory Baptist Church in Clinton.
Organizers say anyone can drive through and pick up a meal.
“People can come up between the hours of 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., get a free, hot meal, ready to serve, (with) mashed potatoes, noodles, turkey, corn, green beans and pumpkin pie for desert,” according to Dana Mclain with Victory Baptist Church.
“If they’re not able to drive to the church and pick up a meal, they can call the church and, we actually deliver.”
