TERRE HAUTE Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The Trained in Terre Haute Program has been training Wabash Valley runners and walkers for 26 years.
Tuesday evening, Wabash Valley Road Runners held an informational meeting for runners or walkers interested in training for a spring half marathon. Meeting attendees had the opportunity to hear from the program director, engage with experienced coaches, and connect with various community partners involved in the program.
This meeting served as a starting point to get acquainted with the program`s structure, resources, and the support available to assist in achieving your running or walking goals. TNT is a 18-week training program and will begin on January 7th.
“Anyone can do it. I mean if you want to be a runner or a walker. If you like to walk for health, if you like to run for health. But the idea of running 13.1 miles seems a little bit intimidating. I was there at one point and it’s absolutely achievable,” Boar Member and TNT Program Director Adam Pomfret said.
