TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — For the third time this year, The Wildflower Market took place in Terre Haute.
Since 2020, The Wildflower Market has come to the Vigo County Fairgrounds a few days per year.
The theme this November is getting the local community in the holiday spirit.
“You can really feel the festive atmosphere for the holidays. It’s a great opportunity to come out and shop small and get all of your holiday presents in one place.”
The market draws thousands of local residents each time it takes place. Taylor Jacobs, a vendor at the event, says the variety is the main reason for the crowd.
“I think it has always been such a big hit because there are so many different types of vendors. There is everything from skin care to home decor and clothing. Then there is always such a good variety of food trucks and different types of things to do and to eat. It’s just a good time.”
Despite the wide variety, almost all of the vendors reside in the Wabash Valley.
Local business owners like Shelby Haruff, say the event greatly helps them.
“The Wildflower draws a lot of people that want to shop local and get all of their holiday stuff in one swoop. You can get an outfit for an event, or you can get home baked cookies and just really feel that holiday spirit and support small businesses.”
The Wildflower Market held three events this year, one in March, August, and this one in November.
The dates for 2025 will be posted on the market’s Facebook page when they are set.
