SULLIVAN, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Friday evening, Sullivan Police Department and Fire Department battled each other in a game of donkey basketball.
The game was held at the Historic Sullivan Downtown Gym. The goal of the game is to make the most points all while riding a donkey. The event is hosted every year to raise funds for a local organization called Christmas for Kids. This organization was created to help spread Christmas cheer to children who aren’t fortunate enough to get presents on the holidays.
Organizer Bailey Potts said this event is a way to help out the community.
“It is a really special thing to be a connecting tool to get the funds to be able to help out in any way.”
