TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — November 2 is the last cleanup of the year at Vigo County Solid Waste Management.
This is a chance to get rid of items that the garbage truck won’t take from your house like mattresses and larger furniture.
Its executive director Karrum Nasser said it is a chance for them to try and clean up the streets and help out the community.
“Everything that we are collecting we are either keeping off the side of the road like those mattresses and couches, or we are able to recycle it so that it is helping our community,” said Nasser.
Nasser said that they also plan to add a yard waste disposal program in the near future.
