LINTON, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Linton will remain on a boil order at least until Saturday evening according to Ellis Water.
Linton has been on a boil order since a water main break was experienced Wednesday leaving both Ellis Water and Linton Municipal Utilities customers in Linton affected. This water main break also extended to Switz City Waterworks customers to be placed on a boil order as well.
As of now, according to Ellis Water’s website, customers are expected to stay under the boil order until Saturday evening. Linton Municipal Utilities has also made a Facebook post stating that the issue would not be resolved Friday or Saturday but that they would update with more news Saturday morning. According to the Town of Switz City Facebook Page, water has been restored to Linton but that the boil order will continue as tests are being done.
