PRARIE CITY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Clay County had a spill of hazardous materials that closed down its entrance ramp to Interstate 70 for multiple hours on Friday.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation’s (INDOT) Facebook page, the entrance ramp onto Interstate 70 westbound from State Road 59 in Clay County was closed due to a spill.
After checking INDOT’s website to check the road restrictions and closures map, at 1:12 p.m. INDOT said that the ramp was closed due to the spill being related to hazardous materials. As of now, INDOT claims to have someone coming to start cleanup within 30 minutes.
